One way to help your preschooler learn about the passage of time is to create a calendar together. There are a number of free printable calendars floating around the internet, or look here for a collection of 10 cute ones. After you have created a calendar, display it in your child's room and draw simple pictures to mark important dates. It's a great way to reinforce days of the week and months of the year.
What are MegaSkills?
MegaSkills are the basic skills that make learning possible. This theory was developed by Dorothy Rich, EdD and has been used in classrooms across the United States for over 20 years. I have personally used the activities and ideas in my own home for the past 12 years. I believe when you take the time to teach children these skills and give them opportunities to practice and master, they will become creative, responsible learners.
